Whatever I Feel like Rambling About

Hmmm...I'm kinda debating starting a new lj account since high school's almost over and I don't want any new cool college friends reading what few poorly written posts I do have from my high school years. Besides, it's kinda fun starting with a blank sheet of paper, figuratively speaking.

But on the other hand, it'll be a pain to re-add all the blogs I watch and notify all my friends (if they don't see this, which is entirely possible).

Anyone have an opinion?

What about going back and making all of your "potentially embarrassing" posts friends-only or even private? That way you could control who sees them. ;-)

I contemplated doing that but the other thing is that I picked the username of this lj when I was 12 or something and I was going through a "Knights are so awesome!" phase, which I've sort of grown out of.

Hey, I'm almost 21 and I've always thought Knights were awesome!!! ;-) How old are you now?

Now, please don't take this as my trying to tell you what to do or anything, but what about keeping your present LJ (unless you really, really hate it!) but embrace the whole knight theme -- and have a header with a Medieval scene and a knight. I'd even be willing to make you a header, if you like. ;-)

Thank you! That sounds great. You'll have to tell me how to set it up. I'm not that great/don't have the time to figure all this lj stuff out besides the simple posting/icon/color stuff.

I'm 18 now. I still like the medieval stuff and knights, just not as much and I was obsessed to the point of the "I was a crazy kid" embarrassment.

;-) Happy to be of service, M'lady! I had to follow an LJ tutorial to get my header to work, I can show you that, and I hope it works!

Do you have any images that you're particularly fond of? Here are a few ideas for you:

EB Leighton over at the ARC has lots and lots of knights and their ladies
There is also this one, which I've always loved, by a Frederick Burton

Maybe we could use a default color LJ scheme, and then just add wallpaper tiling and a header. That shouldn't be too hard, in theory...

I like the The Accolade and God Speed for the ARC ones.
I'll look about for some pictures. I know there are some ones I like, just it's late and I'm tired.
Of course, there's always Monty Python Holy Grail knights, but that's more of a funny thing.

The Accolade has to be one of my very first, and very favourite paintings of all time. ;-) It was on my desktop wallpaper last, but I've changed it now.
